Stanley Black and Decker Senior Engineer - Software in Bellandur, India

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer with 8+ years experience to join our new digital product development (NDPD) software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React development, along with expertise in UI/UX design using Figma. The successful candidate will be an individual contributor, capable of working autonomously, while also collaborating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing reusable, testable and efficient code in Javascript using REACT JS and Angular framework

  • Architecting application for complex use cases while maintaining the simplicity of code

  • Translate design wireframes and prototypes into responsive and interactive web pages.

  • Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Engage in high-level design discussions to contribute ideas and insights for overall project architecture.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

  • Perform UI design tasks such as creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in frontend development.

  • Estimation and Planning of Front-Activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in software development.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and programming skills.

  • Should have sound knowledge in computer science fundamentals like data structure, and object-oriented programming

  • Strong proficiency in React development and related libraries such as Redux Toolkit.

  • Experience with UI design tool Figma and Design Systems

  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, JSON, preprocessors like Sass or Less, and DOM concepts.

  • Experience with TypeScript.

  • Understanding of JavaScript design patterns and concepts of OOPS and functional programming in JavaScript.

  • Fluent in responsive design and development for mobile and tablet devices.

  • Good understanding of engineering practices such as deployments, release management, etc

  • Knowledge regarding frontend performance improvements in most common browsers, cross-browser compatibility issues.

  • Experience with version control systems like Git and platforms like GitHub.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD

  • Knowledge of Accessibility requirements

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stack.

  • Experience working in Jira environment

  • Experience working in Figma or simliar tools and familiar with Design principles.

  • Experience with QA processes and UX quality issues reporting
